Poultney Rescue Squad
Provides emergency ambulance care. The squad is licensed at the highest level – paramedic. Each level of certification must obtain continuing education credits each year to maintain certification. Through the Rutland Regional Ambulance Service it can provide advanced life support to patients in critical condition. Located off Church Street at Ideal Way. Phone 911

Poultney Fire Department
The Fire Department consists of 41 volunteers all of which have had 50 hours of training and many have attended state certified schools. Sixteen members have received Level 1 certification. To report a fire, phone 911. The Fire Chief is Bill Jones.
